The contract is to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for a major office development at the new Aberdeen International Business Park, for developer Abstract (Cornwall) Ltd.
The 10-month installation programme, which will start in January, will see NG Bailey design, supply, install and commission services for almost 400,000 sq ft of BREEAM ‘excellent’-rated office space, as well as a range of high-quality leisure facilities.
A further 700,000 sq ft of office space, plus a four-star hotel, is also planned for the new business park, situated close to Aberdeen International Airport, which is targeting companies involved in the oil and gas sectors.
Mike Darlington, managing director of NG Bailey’s engineering division, said: “This is one of the largest and most prestigious office parks currently being built in the UK, so we are delighted to be involved. We will be bringing our offsite manufacturing expertise to bear on this project, alongside our proven ability to deliver large and complex office developments to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard.”
