Main contractor Eric Wright Construction started preliminary work on the Altair mixed use development last year, with demolition and enabling works to allow for the construction of phase one – a building with 59 apartments and ground floor retail space.
Phase two includes the construction of four more blocks of flats in the Cheshire town, as well as versatile retail and office space. The apartments will be delivered by Nikal’s homebuilding arm, Hillcrest Homes.
A new central boulevard will link the new Quarter to the new Transport Interchange.
Outline planning consent for the entire scheme was granted in 2014 with a planning decision on phase two expected in April 2017.
