Primary school contract for Clark Contracts

29 Jun 11 The refurbishment and extension of Doune Primary School is the subject of a new £1.5 million contract awarded to Clark Contracts by Stirling Council.

The contract involves the refurbishment of the existing school building and a single storey extension to create two new classrooms, new administration and staff room facilities and a new main entrance.

Work starts on site at the end of June with completion scheduled by end November 2011.

The company believes its previous experience working on over 30 schools across Scotland was a key factor in securing the contract, its first with Stirling Council.

Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts said: “We are looking forward to getting started on site.  We will be working through part of the contract when the school is open and so, the safety of staff, pupils and the public is, of course, of paramount importance.  We will draw on extensive previous experience to ensure the school operates safely through the duration of our works.”

Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts has grown to employ around 200 staff at offices in Paisley, covering the West of Scotland, and Edinburgh, covering the East. Around 80% of the company’s work is repeat business and six out of ten customers have worked with Clark Contracts for five years or more.
