UKDN Waterflow has worked on Network Rail maintenance units as a tier one operator for more than 15 years but will now be eligible to manage larger investment projects.

Lanes Group commercial director (rail) Matthew Todd said: "It represents a fantastic opportunity for the Lanes family, strengthening our position with Network Rail, both through UKDN Waterflow (LG) and across the Lanes Group.

"The investment made in obtaining a PCL is wholeheartedly endorsed by the group management team as the way forward and further bolsters an already formidable rail offering."

Eamonn Maloney, Lanes Group Network Rail manager, said: "We are now able to deliver total solutions, from surveying, scoping, planning and pricing, to implementation and hand over, whatever size the project.”

The company’s rail division has also moved from Langley Business Park into new purpose-built premises on Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire.
