The 36-month project involves the construction of 34km of 10-lane highway with junctions, viaducts, overpasses and underpasses.
Turkish Transport, Maritime & Communications minister Ahmet Arslan said that the Turkish contractors have undertaken some US$15bn of projects in Qatar. Turkey aims to sign a free trade agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), he added.
