16 Jul 13 The University of Ulster has begun procurement of a contractor to build part of its new campus scheme in Belfast.

Estimated value of the contract is £100m to £125m, or roughly half the overall £250m campus development budget.

The contract notice published in the Official Journal of the EU today is for the design and construction of two new blocks and the partial refurbishment of two others on York Street. It also includes demolition works and the construction of a bridge linking two buildings.

The project, which is expected to take 42 months to complete, involves the development of a new 75,000m2 campus around the existing York Street complex.
