Gren Edwards, Costain's Rail Sector Director, brings significant rail experience to the business. Previously Chief Executive of Volker Rail and GrantRail, Edwards sees a significant opportunity for Costain to broaden it's offering in the Sector.
Costain is well respected for the delivery of signature rail termini and stations such as St Pancras International, Farringdon Thameslink and London Underground's Bond Street. Edwards wants to build on this track record and experience adding specialist skills such as track electrification, signalling and multidisciplinary operation and maintenance activities. This, he says, will give added value to customers including Network Rail, London Underground and Crossrail.
Edwards adds the rail sector remains a key area for infrastructure investment in the UK. Edwards is looking forward to working with rail customers, partners and stakeholders in meeting the challenges ahead.
