Redrow’s Morgan fears election hiatus

10 Nov 14 There are already signs of next year’s general election causing the progress of construction’s recovery to falter, it appears.

Steve Morgan, executive chairman of house-builder Redrow, says that already it is impacting on the planning process.

“Political posturing ahead of next year's general election is already having a detrimental impact on the time taken to grant planning permissions in many parts of the country,” he said in a company trading update today.
