Renew boosted by framework appointments

27 Jan 16 Long-term contracts from the nuclear and water industries have boosted the order book of the engineering services group Renew.

At the company’s annual general meeting today, chairman Roy Harrison will tell shareholders that trading remains in line with the board’s expectations.

The group order book at 31st December 2015 has increased by 15% to £515m (31 Dec 2014: £449m). The Engineering Services order book was up 12% at £413m (31 Dec 2014: £369m).

Subsidiary company Shepley Engineers has been awarded a position on Sellafield Ltd’s decommissioning delivery partnership framework – a 10-year framework with an indicative value of £500m and potential to be worth £1.5bn over the full term.

Another subsidiary, Lewis Civil Engineering, has been appointed by Wessex Water to the civils & EMI capital delivery partners AMP6 asset management programme framework. This framework, which will run until 2020, has an estimated total value of £350m and includes an extension option to cover the AMP7 period through to 2025.
