Rydon already has operations based in the southeast and the southwest. Colin Silvey will run the company’s new southern region.
He joins from Galliford Try, where he was an area director. He has also held senior management roles at Balfour Beatty, where he spent 15 years, as well as 10 years at Carillion, where he was head of quality for the UK construction business.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to bring a brand renowned for the quality of its construction and development into a new region that complements its existing operations,” Mr Sivey said of his new job. “I look forward to bringing my passion for the industry and a commitment for excellence to Rydon’s clients and partners.”
Rydon Construction managing director Mark Mitchener added: “With his excellent track record and enthusiasm for the business, Colin is the ideal candidate to help us establish our operation in this new region. This is an exciting next step in the continued success story of the Rydon business, targeting growth where we are well placed to deliver developments in our sectors of expertise.”
