Speedy – the leading provider of equipment rental and support services – has been commended for its commitment to safety by a major industry body.
The Hire Association of Europe (HAE) has awarded Speedy with its SafeHire certification.
In order to secure the accreditation, Speedy’s performance on servicing and testing procedures was measured against regulations governing health and safety as well as consumer and environmental protection.
The HAE - an internationally recognised body for the development of the hire industry – run the scheme to promote the rental of safe equipment to customers.
Martin Knott, managing director, business and customer excellence at Speedy, said: “For many years we have campaigned for better standards for health and safety in construction through initiatives like ‘Safety from the Ground Up’ and in the training we provide our customers.
“Being awarded SafeHire certification is testimony to the ongoing hard work of our people at depots up and down the country and shows that we practice what we preach.”
