Scape’s current £2.1bn civil engineering frameworks expire at the end of January 2023. For the next generation – the third – the value has been raised to £4bn over the four-year term. There is an option to extend them for a further two years until 2029.

The frameworks comprises a £3.25bn framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and a separate £750m framework for Scotland. They enable local authorities and public sector organisations to appoint civil engineering contractors without going out to full tender.
