SES announces a series of contract wins

12 Jan 12 The Northern division of specialist building services contractor, SES, has announced two major contract wins for its York office, one within the region in York and one further a field in Lincoln.

The schemes which are across a number of sectors, reflect SES’s growing stature both within the region, and further afield.

In the leisure sector, SES has been appointed to install building services on the new build Hampton by Hilton hotel in York, due to open in May 2012. Working alongside Miller Construction, the £10 million project will see the completion of a six storey 119- bed contemporary hotel in Toft Green, providing a major boost for the Micklegate area.

A second prestigious contract is being undertaken on behalf of Siemens at its site in Lincoln on a new build wind turbine testing plant on a design and build basis. The new facility will comprise three storey office accommodation and warehouse space. The completed facility will feature 134KM of photovoltaics and other sustainable features, to attain a BREEAM rating of Excellent.

SES is currently working on a similar project at Blyth, Northumberland, in the delivery of new facilities that will house test rigs for full scale wind and marine prototype devices on behalf of the National Renewable Energy Centre (Narec).
