The order comprises a mixture of Hyundai R27Z-9, R60CR-9, R80CR-9 and R140LC-9A machines.
Selwood operations manager Andy Ridgwell said. “Although for us this is a large investment in a short space of time, it is important that we continue to increase and update our fleet to meet customer expectations. 2014 is going well for us and this investment in our fleet is essential for us to maintain growth. In addition to investing in our hire fleet we also sell around 40 machines a year and this will take our purchases of Hyundai excavators to over 100 this year with a value in excess of £4m.”
Fifteen years ago Selwood was the first UK company to stock Hyundai construction machinery when it added R55-3s to its hire fleet. It was appointed a distributor for the Korean manufacturer in 2001.
