Shanghai Tunnel Engineering has also won a major contract, and will cary out 7km tunnelling worth S$421m (£216m) for the Thomson Line.
Caldecott Station, which is scheduled for completion in 2020, will be interchange station connecting the future Thomson Line with the Circle Line. Construction of the station and tunnels will start in August 2013.
Samsung C&T is already involved with other LTA projects including the construction of Downtown Line 3’s Expo and Upper Changi Station, and the design and construction of the Marina Coastal Expressway.
