The project for Riverside County Transportation Commission involves widening State Route 60 for about 7km to accommodate the addition of climbing lanes for trucks on the east and westbound sides. The inside and outside shoulders will be upgraded to standard widths and the existing asphalt concrete pavement will be upgraded to a jointed plain concrete pavement.
Construction will begin in May and the project is scheduled for completion December 2021.
