Skanska to build new Czech motorway

The CZK2.7bn (£71m) contract with the Road & Motorway Directorate involves the construction of a new section of the D1 between Lipník nad Becvou and Prerov.

The project includes construction of 24 bridges, three interchanges and more than 7km  of sound barriers and retaining walls along the 14km length of motorway.

Construction work will start soon and is due to be completed in 2019.
