The West Campus Union building was built in 1931 and houses dining venues, including the Great Hall, as well as student services and student office space.
The US$65m (£41m) renovation and construction will encompass almost 11,000m2 and Skanska will seek LEED certification for the project, which will begin next month and is slated for completion in December 2015.
