United Welsh Housing Association and Torfaen County Borough Council have formed a purchasing consortium to let a one-year framework contract for the design, supply and fit of photo voltaic (PV) electricty generation systems, including related electrical connection works, to existing residential or commercial properties. Up to 15 framework partners are envisaged.
Lot 1 of the framework covers 1,000 properties for United Welsh Housing Association and has a value of £6m.
Lot 2 is for 3,000 properties owned by Torfaen County Borough Council and is worth £18m
Lot 3 is for works for other invited Welsh housing associations and local authorities, expected to comprise 5,000 properties and have a value of £30m.
