Visitors will be given hands-on demonstrations of the most recent additions to the Aberystwyth depot’s fleet – including small tools, lifting, survey and welding equipment – from Speedy experts.
Employing four people, the depot provides support to local builders, trades people and key regional industries such as marine and energy.
Speedy will also offer talks from its multi award-winning ‘Safety from the Ground Up’ educational campaign at the open day providing contractors with practical health and safety solutions.
To date, the scheme has been presented to over 150,000 site workers since it began four years ago.
The 2,200 sq metre facility is part of the company’s 350 strong depot network across the UK and Ireland, which range from specialist outlets to an 80,000 sq ft Multi Service Centre.
Tristan Waller, general manager at the Aberystwyth depot, said: “The open day will provide our customers with the chance to see some of the latest and most innovative products in the hire industry being put through their paces.
“It also gives us an opportunity to promote some of the important messages from our ‘Safety from the Ground Up’ campaign which has also proved hugely successful in creating a greater awareness of better working practices across the UK.”
The depot, located at 20 Glanyrafon Industrial Estate, Aberystwyth, SY23 3JQ will be holding the open day on Tuesday 19 October from 11am to 3.00pm.
