Steelwork company gets funding for growth

19 Apr 12 South Lanarkshire-based structural steelwork company BHC has secured a £3m banking facility to invest in growth, including the purchase of two 80t cranes.

BHC (formerly Brian Hewitt Construction) designs, manufactures and installs steel-framed buildings and structures. It has a turnover of £32m and with 285 staff it is the largest employer in the Lanark area

The new £3m facilities from Royal Bank of Scotland Corporate & Institutional Banking (RBS CIB) and Lombard Asset Finance will be used by BHC to invest in the latest technologies and processes as the firm looks to step up its growth.
