The €40m (£31.5m) design and build project involves the construction of three traffic lanes as well as an additional lane that can be adapted for traffic if needed.
Also forming part of the contract are nine structures, including bridges and a railway overpass; environmental protection measures such as noise barriers and wildlife crossings; a rainwater drainage system; and the modernisation and construction of access roads.
Approximately eight months are scheduled for the planning and 30 months for the construction phase.
