Strategic Team Group on National recruitment drive to further expansion plans

18 Nov 10 One of the UK’s leading property solutions firm, Strategic Team Group, launches a programme of recruitment to meet the demand from new contracts, new business launches and expansion plans, bucking the current trend in the construction industry.

Strategic Team Group is planning to further expand its reach in the UK’s construction industry and is looking to hire some 30 property professionals over the next two years.  With the first phase of recruitment seeing the firm search for contract managers, site managers, quantity surveyors and business development managers to be based in Yorkshire, the north west and the south west.

Continuing its success in the transport sector, in particular rail, Strategic Team Group has won and is in negotiations for several prestigious projects ranging from new railway stations to rail improvement works and cycle shelters in Swansea, Southampton, Truro and Exeter.   Successes in the north west, Yorkshire and the Midlands has seen the firm secure several major railway projects including Chester station, Accrington station and Disability Discrimination Act work for Virgin Trains in north Wales and the Midlands, public sector framework deals, community housing projects, new care homes and commercial office fit-outs.

The firm is looking at wider geographical areas through organic growth rather than via acquisitions.  Furthermore, as the UK government’s priority changes to establish improvements to public finances, the firm is working on several new initiatives, firstly Strategic Community Infrastructure Partnership, which will aim to bring institutional investors into the public sector arena and provide a holistic approach to sustainable construction, incorporating maintenance and management over a 25 year period.  The firm is also introducing Strategic Energy, which will see the installation of photovoltaic panels and wind turbines, and is already in discussion with several existing and new clients.
