Strukton diving team starts work on Berlin metro

29 Aug 13 Strukton has won an assignment to carry out underwater operations for Züblin and Bilfinger on the construction of a new Berlin metro line.

The activities are needed for the construction of the S21, which will connect into Berlin's central station.

The contract value of the diving assignment is €1.23m (£1.06m) and the work will take until the end of 2015.

A team of underwater specialists into Strukton subsidiary will be deployed to pour 9,600m3 of underwater concrete, performing diving inspections, clean canal walls, install sheet piles and carry out other construction work.
