Turner & Townsend to project manage Cambridge’s £200m Triangle

4 Jul 14 Turner & Townsend has been appointed lead consultant on one a £200m development in Cambridge.

The Triangle is a proposed new headquarter for Cambridge Assessment, the university’s international exams group. If it gets planning permission, it will provide 350,000 sq ft² of office space for 3,000 employees. It will be built on the Shaftsbury Road site of the Edinburgh Building offices and warehouse, currently used by Cambridge University Press.

Cambridge Assessment has 1,600 staff in the city who are currently spread across 11 offices. The Triangle will allow them to consolidate in one building and give the organisation space to grow.

Turner & Townsend will deliver project management services, contract supervision, BIM implementation and compliance monitoring, operational readiness and mobilisation advice, relocation management and soft landings on the project.

Director and project lead Paul Nash said “The Triangle is a project that demonstrates best practice and innovation both in its design, construction and use. The Turner & Townsend team are working closely with the end user to ensure that the building truly provides an environment that promotes collaborative working, both during the project lifecycle and in operation.”
