Turner & Townsend triples Californian workforce

16 Dec 14 Strong growth.has prompted Turner & Townsend to triple the size of its workforce on the USA's West Coast and relocate to a larger base in Los Angeles.

Revenue has doubled in the past year to US$10.3m (£6.6m) following a string of projects in the technology, energy, pharmaceuticals and commercial property sectors.

The company’s Los Angeles office – one of nine in the US - has recently relocated to Century City downtown to accommodate the rise in headcount.

The West Coast management team has been strengthened with the appointment of Nevin Sood, who will be based in San Francisco and will take the lead with the cost and asset management services offering

Sood was previously based in London, where he led the whole-life cost team; which included asset efficiency, sustainable facility management, and carbon and energy management.

John Robbins, USA managing director of Turner & Townsend, said: “Our steady growth on the West Coast and appointment of Nevin Sood is testament to our ability to adapt to shifting client needs and market conditions across our vast country. Clients in the region are looking to us for innovative solutions to help drive efficiency across their portfolios.
