Two regional builders join the growing list of failures

1 Dec 11 Two regional builders from the north of England have joined the long list of construction companies to fall into administration as victims of the industry’s sustained downturn.

Widnes-based DT Anderson Construction Ltd, in business for more than 20 years, and Oddy Builders Ltd of Leeds are both now being managed by receivers.

DT Anderson worked primarily in the housing sector, though past projects have also included office units and light industrial buildings, and it also worked for Network Rail. The company was a member of National Federation of Builders. Its affairs are now in the hands off insolvency practitioners from Refresh Recovery of Skelmersdale.

Oddy Builders, under managing director Roger Skehan, worked throughout the UK on all types of general refurbishment work, specialising in carbon reduction strategies, fire door installations, structural repairs and underpinning. It was a member of the Federation of Master Builders.

The administration of Oddy Builders is being managed by The P&A Partnership in Sheffield.
