"We are looking forward to building a state-of-the-art modern and energy-efficient school using the passive house standard," said managing director Are Westbye of Veidekke.
The NOK193m (£22m) school will have about 800 pupils with 80 staff and includes a new sports facility.
Construction will begin at the end of this month and the school will be ready for use at the start of 2015.
