Vistamatic adds form, function and value to new Cystic Fibrosis Ward

1 Oct 10 Northern General Hospital’s newly refurbished cystic fibrosis (CF) ward has benefited from the installation of 15 Vistamatic secure vision panels.

Vision panels have been fitted to the twelve patient rooms, the ward gym and two treatment rooms on the ward.

The vision panels give patients the option of privacy and allow nursing staff to discreetly observe patients without opening the door. Because of the risk of infection, CF patients cannot mix with other patients. The installation of Vistamatic vision panels greatly reduces the risk of spreading germs.

Mark Hattersley, Capital Projects Manager for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation, comments: “The Cystic Fibrosis unit represents innovative and creative design, utilising best practice, best materials and best design concepts to fully embrace the needs of young CF patients: Vistamatic has added form, function and value to the project, blending well with the high tech nature of the healthcare facility.”
