WSP adds three directors

16 Apr 14 Consulting engineer WSP’s recruitment drive continues apace with the appointment of three new directors in the UK, two in its building services business in Scotland.

Garry Calder and Graeme Bruce are both joining WSP’s Edinburgh office as technical directors. The building services team is recruiting at all levels in Scotland, including senior engineers.

Garry Calder joins WSP from Mott MacDonald’s building services team in Edinburgh that he established and led. He has worked on a number of interesting and diverse projects including the Royal Yacht Britannia and Murrayfield Stadium.

Graeme Bruce rejoins WSP from Waterman, where he was regional director for Scotland. Over his career he has worked on projects for the Royal Mail, NHS Fife and the Hard Rock Café project in Glasgow.

Roy McKenzie has joined WSP’s fire team in Basingstoke as associate director. A former fire fighter in the UK and South Africa, he arrives from Atkins Rail Solutions. His CV includes projects at Selfridges, the British Museum, and more recently London Underground and Crossrail stations, and the London Cable Car across the Thames.

Mr McKenzie is also a lecturer in rail fire engineering at University College London. When in the fire brigade he received a Fire Service Commendation following his work after the Grand Hotel Brighton bombing in 1984.
