Chris Driver-Williams served with the British Special Forces as an intelligence specialist and more recently has provided security advice to commercial organisations including Canary Wharf Group.

In his 25-year career, he has gathered field experience in counter-terrorism and has operated in Iraq, Afghanistan, Colombia and Libya.  He has advised various high profile commercial, military and governmental organisations on terrorism threats and associated security systems.

WSP said that security consulting had become an increasingly valuable area of building-related projects, with structural blast protection and electronic security design among key issues.

WSP has security teams at work in London, Winnipeg, Quebec, New York, Melbourne, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Johannesburg and the Middle East and has provided security consulting on the Shard, Heron Plaza and Knightsbridge Bulgari Hotel among others.

Mr Driver-Williams said: “As head of security consulting, my ultimate aim is to grow the WSP team into a world-class security consultancy providing unsurpassed, full-spectrum security and risk management services to our clients.”
