Yanmar unveils first of its new mini-excavator series

24 Apr 14 The SV26 is a new French-made 2.6-tonne excavator from Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe.

It is the first model in a new range of SV mini excavator models that Yanmar is planning.

Selling points include low transport weight of 2600kg and a three-cylinder Yanmar diesel engine with direct injection.

Jean-Marc Reynaud, managing director of Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe, said: “Our new mini-excavator SV26 is the perfect partner for every construction project. It is extremely compact and easy to transport while showing highest power and performance. With enhanced security standards and maintenance possibilities, the SV26 offers everything a good machine needs – especially in the rental business.”

Claimed fuel consumption is less than four litres per hour while working with high power: 17.4kW at 2,400rpm. Auto-idle is an optional extra for further savings. The patented VIPPS hydraulic system (ViO Progressive 3-Pumps System) combines three systems that work simultaneously. Pumps are activated in response to the demands of the workload.

A new digital display provides real time information of the status of the machine, helping to manage working time and daily maintenance operations.
