Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (Part time also available.)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UK’s leading construction based advertising company. We are looking for a number of experienced Sales Executives to join us at our regional offices based just outside of Peterborough, in March.

You will need to have strong telesales experience and be confident in cold calling to maximise new business opportunities. You will also need to have strong customer service skills and be able to talk the client through the process of setting up an account with us and assist them with trouble shooting. (Full product training will be provided).

We need highly self-motivated, confident people who are able to demonstrate excellent sales negotiation and closing skills whilst being customer orientated and interested in providing the very best for our clients. All potential candidates must be computer literate.

Graphic Designer Junior x1

Location: March ~ Cambridgeshire near Peterborough

The Construction Index is looking for a JNR Graphic Designer with creative flair, originality, a strong visual sense with a high level of technical ability to join the team. You will be well organised and be able to work under your own initiative to strict deadlines. As a Graphic Designer you will be responsible for design within the business with particular emphasis on The Construction Index Magazine, Web, flyers, brochures and exhibition material etc. You should be well versed in Graphic editing tools and desk top publishing software and will have a portfolio of work to demonstrate your skills in these areas.

Job Description: PHP (Zend Framework / CakePHP), MySQL & Javascript Developer

Working in our offices near Peterborough, we are looking for a new lead/senior PHP (Zend Framework essential, also CakePHP) specialist, to join us working on www.theconstructionindex.co.uk, creating engaging interactive solutions for advertisers.

We are not looking for a web designer to make small 'brochure' websites.

We are looking for PHP Developer with 3-5 years commercial experience, running and developing large, high traffic websites.

Education: A Computer Science Degree not preferred or essential, as some of the best web developers are self-taught.

Desired Skills & Experience for PHP Developer

• PHP 5
• Thorough knowledge and experience of Zend Framework (CakePHP knowledge would be beneficial)
• Detailed knowledge of MySQL 5
• Great HTML & CSS knowledge including browser testing / support and accessibility
• Javascript, especially jQuery framework development
• Basic Linux server maintenance over SSH connection
• Experience of building amazing systems!
• Ability to write elegant code
• Significant experience in developing solid PHP applications in an agile style
• Expert at object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns
• Portfolio and code samples showing work that demonstrates PHP programming
• Have an understanding of the new technologies such as HTML 5 and CSS 3

The following would also help:

• Photoshop basics
• Experience of using Plesk control panel software
• Knowledge of iOS app development using Titanium Mobile (via javascript API)
• SEO awareness
