— planned preventative maintenance service on electric wheelchairs and nominated heavy users.

Management information — Monthly reports:

For equipment administered by the West Berkshire wheelchair Clinic on behalf of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

Please provide a separate quote for annual planned preventative maintenance for the whole wheelchair fleet as part of the tender submission.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is undertaking this tendering exercise using the OJEU Open procedure.

The successful bidder will be able to provide the full service as outlined in the tender specification.

This includes:

— wheelchair repair and maintenance contract for patient wheelchairs.

The contract shall cover all of the following elements:

The services will include:

The wheelchair service is currently based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, RG1 5AN.

The Trust has asked for costings for a full PPM service for the whole fleet currently this isn’t a service the Trust employs but will review the financial viability of the bids.

The West Berkshire Wheelchair Service does not issue wheelchairs for outdoor use only.

The Wheelchair Service and the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust’s plans are for electronic patient records; the service provider should demonstrate a commitment to providing paper-free links with the Wheelchair Service.

As at August 2018 the number of registered users of West Berkshire Wheelchair Service stands at 3161.

As already stated this contract is being tendered as under the OJEU Open procedure, this means that the tender documents are available to any suitable bidder to access.

You should note that only bids that pass the eligibility questions will be considered for full evaluation.

As part of the evaluation process the site from which the Bidder proposes to service the contract from will be inspected and scored as will the Customer references.

All tenders are to be submitted via the Due Nort portal, the tenders will be opened using the electronic protocols of that system which are independent of the Procurement Department.
