The work consists of fortnightly and quarterly communal area and defined cleaning of 16 sheltered housing schemes, 62 general needs housing schemes and 7 temporary accommodation schemes owned by Winchester City Council.

The sites consist of communal areas to various sheltered, general needs and temporary accommodation properties within the Winchester City Council District.

The Contractor shall supply all cleaning fluids, chemicals and detergents, etc. and all equipment, tools and plant. The quality of the materials supplied will be to the entire satisfaction of the Contract Manager.

The Contractor shall supply all water for the execution of the works as site supplies cannot be guaranteed.

There are currently no storage facilities available on any of the sites, with the exception of Chesil Lodge, which has a storage cupboard for materials and equipment.

Winchester City Council is intending to procure a 3-year cleaning services contract commencing in Q1 2019 (with the option to extend the contract by a maximum of 2 years at the discretion of the Council).

All schemes vary in size, design and facilities and as such, the cleaning requirements will vary between sites.
