Dustcart Collection Services for London Underground Stations and other Sites in Zones 3 to 9.

Lot No: 2
II.2.2)Additional CPV code(s)
90510000
II.2.3)Place of performance

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The provision of bag and wheelie bin collection services at nominated stations and operational buildings within London travel zones 3-9.

The requirements include scheduled work and ad hoc services which may be at short notice. Dustcart collection services are required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year (excluding Christmas day). The collections are mainly based around three waste streams: 1) mixed commercial waste, 2) segregated newspapers and 3) dry mixed recycling.

The expectation is for the service provider to proactively manage any additional collections that may be needed to support events in London which impact on passenger volumes and/or road access. It is equally important that the service provider deals and manages any issues which result in frustrated access to collection points. The service provided must be fully compliant with legislative and statutory requirements and support any initiatives set by the Greater London Authority (GLA) or TfL stakeholders.
