Work Package 3 - LVO low flow system at Corbridge.

Work Package 4 - LGT Refurbishment at 19 sites

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

The modification relates to the supply and provision of proprietary equipment to be added to that which is currently being installed by the supplier in question under the original contract. It would not be practical to introduce another contactor into this work scheme as doing so would increase risk and cost to the project and provide for blurred ownership from a contractual and liability perspective of the system as a whole which for NGN is critical to its operation and license conditions
