Northumberland County Council (the Authority) is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement (Framework) with a suitably qualified and experienced consultant who will advise it on asbestos related matters across its entire current and future property portfolio and who will be responsible for asbestos management and planning, arrangements for undertaking asbestos surveys, air monitoring and sampling, the analysis of possible asbestos containing materials and the procurement and organisation of associated asbestos removal works.

The framework is to be available for use by the Authority and any of its affiliate organisations.

Northumberland County Council (the Authority) is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement (Framework) with a suitably qualified and experienced consultant who will advise it on asbestos related matters across its entire current and future property portfolio and who will be responsible for asbestos management and planning, arrangements for undertaking asbestos surveys, air monitoring and sampling, the analysis of possible asbestos containing materials and the procurement and organisation of associated asbestos removal works.

The Authority’s property portfolio includes staff offices, public buildings (adult and children’s services building, libraries and leisure facilities and schools, etc.) together with a housing stock which comprises circa 8 500 residential properties across Northumberland.

The consultant will act as the Authority’s principal asbestos advisor providing advice and guidance as outlined within the specification included with the tender documentation.

The Framework is to be available for use by the Authority and any of its affiliate organisations.
