II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust site encompasses in excess of 50 AHUs containing over 600 filters. These units are spread out over a 45-acre site in multiply locations with differing levels of access.

Filters are to be changed four times a year (every 90 days) under the following schedule:

— critical and non-critical pre and secondary filters 600 filter to change;

— critical pre filters 296 filters to change;

— critical and non-critical pre and secondary filters 600 filter to change;

— critical pre filters 296 filters to change.

All 336 belts used within the AHUs on site are to be changed annually (every 365 days) in line with the second of the critical and non-critical pre and secondary filters changes.

List and brief description of conditions:

In addition to meeting the requirements of HTM03-01, the contractor is required to comply with all other relevant legislation, codes of practice or industry best practice, including (but not limited to):

The contractor is required to comply with all local policies and procedures and these can be provided on request, which will be explained to operatives at the contractor’s induction prior to any work on site.

III.2.2)Contract performance conditions:

After every visit a 25 % check of units serviced will be selected by an NGH engineering manager. These checks are to be carried out by an NGH engineering manager and the contractor area manager. These checks will encompass inspection of standard of work, cleanliness of unit and check of filters (correct fitment, damage and that they have been replaced).

During the life of the contract a three strikes and you’re out clause will be imposed, this will cover standard of work/ level of service and any failure of the 25 % checks after mitigations have been discussed.
