The intent is to have a comprehensive medical devices maintenance service, which includes a fully auditable and accurate asset management system. This is to be achieved by:

— an annual planned preventative maintenance inspection and technical audit;

— collection and disposal of old / unwanted medical devices (to include only devices that cannot be disposed of via existing trust waste streams);

— a repair call out service;

— an asset management system;

— provisions for the resale of suitable unwanted medical devices.
