II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

LocatED is procuring a development partner to deliver a mixed-use educational and residential development on the Site at Hanworth Road, Hounslow.

The Site was acquired with a clear objective to support the government’s priorities of delivering both school places and new homes. It offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver this vision and we are keen to secure a development partner who shares our ambition. The site is 2.72 acres (1.1ha) located in the London Borough (LB) of Hounslow, approximately 12 miles south west of central London. The Site is identified as a strategic site by LocatED to deliver educational and residential uses. The Site has excellent transport links to central London and Heathrow, and is located close to Hounslow town centre.

An indicative masterplan has been prepared by LocatED’s project team. This comprises:

1) 3-storey 2 601 m2 Special Educational Needs School (up to 90 pups) between the ages of 11 and 19 years;

2) c.115 residential homes; and

3) Affordable housing.
