Liebherr says that the LB 16 Unplugged is the world’s first battery-powered drilling rig.  It can take on Kelly drilling as well as several continuous drilling methods with double rotary head, continuous flight auger and partial or full displacement tools.

Liebherr says: “With local zero emission it provides the best possible combination of eco-friendliness, efficiency and customer benefits” – which is nicely worded by Liebherr, as there are always emissions somewhere.
