Diggerland USA is in West Berlin, New Jersey, which is about half an hour from Philadelphia or 90 minutes from New York City. Like the original UK parks, there are all sorts of digger-related rides and hands-on opportunities. Most of the machines are JCBs.
Although based on the Diggerland concept that Hugh Edeleanu has developed here in the UK, the US park is owned by brothers Ilya and Yan Girlya, who also own the neighbouring Sahara Sam’s Oasis Water Park.
Diggerland USA has been open for two years now and new for 2016 were Wacker Neuson RD12 double drum vibrating rollers, which they call the Shake N’ Roll ride.
The 27th attraction is coming in spring 2017 and is nothing like anything you might have seen at the UK Diggerland parks. It's certainly a great name but I remain to be convinced that the ride will be as exciting as the name suggests. All we know so far is what’s in this video…
