This footage was taken somewhere in Pakistan, and is a classic display of operator error whilst working in a very vulnerable location on a mountainside. The unfortunate driver appears to have allowed the 16 ton wheeled excavator to roll backwards down the slope, and then abruptly lifts the boom right up to the stops, which results in a devastating backward flip! I am pleased to report that on this occasion the driver makes a very lucky escape, let’s hope lessons were learnt from this scary incident.
