MJL Contractors add another 8 ton Takeuchi

Cornish civil engineering and groundwork’s company MJL Contractors Ltd have recently added a second Takeuchi TB285 to its comprehensive machinery fleet.

MJL Contractors are currently very busy in the Devon and Cornwall area, with a number of new sites opening up recently. This ever expanding workload has seen the business hiring in a large number of 8 ton class midi excavators from local plant hire companies. Managing Director Matthew Lugg is not a big fan of hiring in machines, preferring to purchase their own kit wherever possible. With that in mind the decision was made to add a second Takeuchi TB285 to fleet, which was once more supplied by the local CBL Plant Sales depot in Saltash, Cornwall.

Having been extremely impressed by the all round performance of its first TB285, which they took delivery of earlier this year following a short demonstration period, Mr Lugg had no hesitation in opting for an additional unit. A deal was quickly arranged between Mr Lugg and CBL’s Area Sales Manager Rod Luckman, and the machine was delivered straight to a new site where MJL Contractors are undertaking the groundwork’s for Barratt Homes on the outskirts of Plymouth.
