For me this promotional video from Akerman epitomises the Swedish approach to hydraulic excavators and machinery technology. For many years our Scandinavian cousins have been at the forefront in terms of attachment design, hydraulic systems, and even remote control systems. In this classic old film you will see examples of this technology in action, including early models of tiltrotators, long reach booms, and machines being operated remotely by the operator from a safe distance away.

Akermans legacy continues to this day in a whole host of products from Sweden.
