German civil engineering contractor Leonhard Weiss has tested the entire range of electric equipment offered by Wacker Neuson and found the machines fully up to the job.

The machines were trialled during the renovation of Stuttgart's market square in the city centre.

Leonhard Weiss used battery-powered rammers,  battery-powered soil compaction plates, the DT10e track dumper, DW15e wheeled dumper, the WL20e wheeled loader and the EZ17e Zero Tail excavator.  The company is a long-standing customer of Wacker Neuson and has no complaints about these new electric variants.

"We really like the fact that the electric machines and construction equipment have the same power as conventional ones," says Simon Schall, the contractors’ head of central machine technology. "During daily operation, there are fewer maintenance points than with combustion-engine equipment, and drivers or operators can get to grips with the machine much more easily."
