The winning team will be expected to mobilise in April, immediately after contracts are signed to stay on course for completion in 2016.
The two bidders are:
- Forthspan : MT Hojgaard, Balfour Beatty, Bam Nuttall and Morgan Est
- Forth Crossing Constructors: Dragados, Hochtief, American Bridge International and Morrison Construction.
A meeting was held on Friday for more than 150 local businesses to learn about subcontracting opportunities on the project. Interested companies can register with the Public Contracts Scotland website to receive details of tendering opportunities.
