Lickley takes first Powerscreen XH 320 SR crusher

7 Jul 11 Lickley Group’s contract crushing and screening division has taken delivery of the UK’s first Terex Powerscreen XH 320 SR mobile crushing plant.

This mid-sized horizontal impact crusher joins Lickley’s fleet of operated and non-operated equipment.

The Powerscreen XH 320 can crush coal, quarried rock and recycled aggregates, and has an output potential of up to 320 tonnes per hour depending on the application and materials to be processed. The SR version bought by Lickley has a screen and recirculating (SR) conveyor which returns oversized product to the crusher for further reduction

The built-in cartridge grizzly on the XH 320 has a 42mm nominal spacing and there is a load management system for feeder speed control. The crusher chamber features hydraulic overload protection and adjustment, with crusher speed variation controlled by a user-friendly PLC control system. An independent under crusher vibrating pan feeder is standard and the modular conveyor has a simple hydraulic raise/lower facility to aid clearance of tramp metal rebar. The model taken by Lickley is the XH 320 SR which is equipped with a 3300mm X 1500mm double deck post screen. This facility enables the stockpiling of a clean mid product which would normally only be achieved through the use of a separate two deck screening plant.

Lickley is a family-owned business based in North Yorkshire. As well as national crushing and screening hire operations, the group also has interests in general plant hire and, through its waste management division, offers a range of specialist services from skip and bin hire to hazardous waste treatment, waste transport and reclamation and recycling, at a site near Leeds that it is currently developing.
