The university is looking for a main contractor for the redevelopment of its north campus area, refurbishing existing buildings to provide new accommodation for the Aston Business School (close to 10,000m2) and a new Students' Union building (more than 5,000m2).
The university is looking to start construction work in September or October this year, completing the Students' Union element by October 2016 and the Business School element by February 2017. Demolition of the existing Students' Union will then be carried out to allow the landscaping scheme to be completed by May 2017.
